GUARD YOUR HEART is a program that meets the requirement of §70-1210.199. OKARNG Recruiters have been certified as trainers by the Red Cross to conduct basic CPR classes. This is free of charge to Oklahoma Secondary Schools grades 9-12. All training equipment is provided by the OKARNG.

HEAR for High Schools is designed to mitigate the impact of bullying in high schools – including cyber bullying. The proven program is delivered on a classroom-by-classroom basis by trained members of the National Guard at no cost to schools.

A certified Army National Guard self-defense trainer will wear the RedMan training suit and teach self-defense techniques to students. The training is designed to help students learn to control a situation and boosts a student’s confidence.

Career Direction is a no-cost guidance workshop which has helped over 6 million American high school students to plan their futures. The National Guard recognizes that students entering adulthood face what may be their most critical and lasting life decisions. The Career Direction program is an interactive class which teaches students how career components, like priorities and motivation, relate to career choices while stressing the importance of practical job-finding skills. The below PowerPoint is an example of the class minus some videos.

An Army National Guard representative will supply Army Guard themed jerseys for the teams to use for the game. Food will be provided before the game and the Army Guard representative will talk about the benefits of the Guard and answer any questions anyone may have.
